Role: Trainee Test Engineer.

Job Location: Navi Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria:  

  • Qualification: BE/BTech (IT, CS & EXTC).
  • Pass out Year: 2023/2024/2025.
  • Percentage Criteria: 60% & above throughout academics(10th, 12th & Graduation).
  • Any Bond: NA.

Approx. Package: Rs. 3,25,000 Per Annum.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze BRD/FSD documents and create detailed test scenarios and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
  2. Prepare and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete test coverage.
  3. Conduct test case reviews and walkthroughs with stakeholders to validate testing approach and requirements.
  4. Identify and execute appropriate regression test cases based on application changes and impact analysis.
  5. Evaluate test cases suitable for automation based on automation feasibility and selection criteria.
  6. Create, update, and manage test data required for functional and automation testing activities.
  7. Identify and implement dynamic test data generation approaches using formulas, database queries, and other techniques.
  8. Perform SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) execution to validate application functionality.
  9. Identify, document, and report defects with proper details and follow up with development teams for resolution.
  10. Track defect lifecycle, ageing, and SLA adherence to ensure timely defect closure.
  11. Prepare and present test execution results, defect reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders for sign-off.
  12. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software applications.
  13. Participate in continuous learning and contribute to automation, testing process improvements, and tool-specific development activities.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong understanding of Functional Testing concepts and methodologies.
  2. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  3. Experience in creating Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Execution Reports.
  4. Knowledge of Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) preparation and management.
  5. Understanding of Regression Testing and Impact Analysis.
  6. Exposure to Automation Testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
  7. Knowledge of Automation Test Case Design and Selection Criteria.
  8. Understanding of API Testing concepts and tools.
  9. Knowledge of Database Testing and SQL Queries.
  10. Experience with Bug Tracking and Defect Management Tools.
  11. Understanding of Test Data Creation, Management, and Validation.
  12. Knowledge of Dynamic Test Data Generation techniques.
  13. Exposure to SIT and UAT Testing processes.
  14. Basic understanding of Test Automation Frameworks.
  15. Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Software Testing Practices.
  16. Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and Debugging.
  17. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  18. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  19. Domain knowledge in Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecom, or Retail sectors.
  20. Ability to learn and work on plugin development, extension development, and tool-specific development activities.
